Unlike unintended pregnancies which just appear effortlessly, it can be very time-consuming and stressful when you really want to have a baby. Naturally, every couple knows what they are expected to do to conceive, but most are at a loss when it comes to what not to do.
- An extreme workout schedule
Too much exercise could distract your ovulation process. Scientific studies have proven that exercising for long hours significantly reduces the chances of ovulation. However, a smooth, non-strenuous workout schedule such as yoga, walking, and swimming could do wonders for you.
- Skipping meals
If you have been skipping meals to incinerate fats, maybe it is time to compromise your diet plan. Starving reduces your chances of conceiving. Ovulation requires frequent replenishment of vitamin B12, folic acid, iron, and zinc. You have take at least three balanced meals a day to scavenge for these. Try to include a portion of fruits, carbs, low-fat foods, vegs, and some whole grains at every meal.
- Smoking and alcohol
You might console yourself that only one won’t affect the conception process. However, cigarette smoke (including passive smoke) is a huge foe to fertility. It also causes miscarriages, fetal abnormalities, and stillbirths. Abstaining from cigarettes and alcohol will not only increase your chances of conceiving but will also guarantee the overall health of your baby.
