According to this article in the New York Times here, more and more parents are doing Google searches on possible baby names before making a final decision – just in case something not so great comes up in the search results.

We went through a hundred different names and name combinations before we found our Daughter’s name. We read the baby name books, used different websites, tried taking parts of 2 different names and combining them. We did it all. At the end we just sat down and said “This is what I like.”, and made it work. When all was said and done we came up with Emmalee Isadora.
